Marcia and Eric’s modern, black and white wedding reception was held at The Duquesne Power Center Ballroom in Pittsburgh. It was our first visit to this venue and we were very impressed. The ballroom is spacious and modern with fantastic views of the city. The food was incredible–from the mashed potato bar and pasta station to the melt-in-your-mouth meat carving station. Everything was fresh and delicious. I could go on, but my food obsession would surely show.
The evening was full of warm, funny moments and personal touches. One being the arrival of Marcia and Eric which sparked a full-blown Terrible Towel-waving explosion on the bride’s side of the room. Eric, a Baltimore native and Raven’s fan, promptly used the Terrible Towel to wipe wedding cake from his face. Adding to the fun atmosphere, was the Ham It Up Photo Booth. Guests received a copy of their silly photo strip and placed one copy–along with a heartfelt message–in a scrapbook custom-made for Marcia and Eric. Scrapbook designer extraordinaire, Amy McCabe, created a custom scrapbook based on the modern, black and white theme. Ham It Up used the M&E logo to create custom photo strip artwork. The logo, as well as the unique invitation and program were preserved in the scrapbook for Marcia and Eric to enjoy for years to come.
